Hello. My name is Kaylene and I'm a 22 year old jazz vocal student studying at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. (A bit of a mouthful - we call it WAAPA.) I love to draw as a hobby and to escape when I'm stressed. I have a well-developed little fantasy world that appears on this page, and many characters whom I've created over the years. I love getting critique on what I do here too.

I love to read, sing, play Wii and just hang out with friends. I adore my pets - in my house we have domestic rats, a fluffy cat, an Australian kelpie dog, my brother has a ferret and I have a gorgeous chihuahua. I also love Japanese teas, and have a growing collection of teapots. I'm a little addicted to expensive nail polish. I also spend far too much of my money on clothes, shoes, make up and other shamelessly girly vices.

I have enjoyed anime since high school. A few of my favourite series are Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, Zoids, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Toradora, Spice and Wolf, and Eden Of The East. I also love Star Trek and Doctor Who.

My art programs of choice are MangaStudio, for it's smooth line art, Clip Studio, for it's amazing blending ability and Photoshop, for adding textures. I'd swap them all for Paint Tool Sai if it were available on a Mac. (Alas, unlikely...) I don't upload here often due to lack of time but during the holidays I can become quite prolific.

This is my fifth account here on DeviantART. I've been a member of this site since I was 13. I tend to change accounts as I mature, and this is the most recent. The name ' Pixiedrops ' comes from the nickname ' Pixie ' which in turn comes from the fact that I am rather petite with short spiky hair.
